Vidyamala has been helping people to find the tools to reclaim their lives for more than two decades. Having discovered meditation age 25, she has gone on to mine the power of the mind through intensive training in the Buddhist tradition and re-built her life from the ashes of major health challenges. She founded the globally-recognised Breathworks Foundation in 2001 and has helped 100,000s of people experiencing pain, illness and other difficulties.

Theme 1: Awareness is Revolutionary - How to Harness the Power of the Mind
Learn how to let go of ‘the second arrow’ of reactivity when facing difficult times. Learn how to regulate your breathing to bring about greater calm.

Theme 3: Only Connect - You Are Not Alone
Turn your pain on its head. Instead of it being a cause of isolation let it be a doorway to connection. All human beings share a rich palette of suffering and joy. Move from defaulting to feeling separate and alone and learn how to cultivate a sense of common humanity.
Theme 2: To Love is to Live - Discover the Alchemy of Self-Compassion
Learn how to respond to your own pain and difficulty the way you’d naturally respond to a loved one who is hurting. Discover the middle way between denial and overwhelm to live with more ease and balance. Discover the ‘kind breath’.
Theme 4: Flowing and Loving - Experience Life as a River not a Rock
Learn how to relate to experience as fluid and open rather than tight and contracted. Open your mind to taste vastness and wonder - find the sky within.

Your Teacher
Vidyamala is a mindfulness and compassion teacher, coach, award-winning author, and co-founder of Breathworks.
​
She started meditating in 1985, after a series of spinal injuries in her late teens left her with chronic pain and partial paraplegia.
